Thomas Seymour Tall Post Sheraton SB-8

An elegant example of the Sheraton style. The original of the bed is attributed to the Seymours of Boston. The fluted drum above the square and the inverted leaf-carved cup being typical of their work. The foot posts are amply reeded with figured maple inlay in the square section. The original had the hallmark "torch and quiver" tester. Shown in mahogany with an Arched Pediment tester. Head posts are pencil posts. Shown queen size in mahogany with headboard HB-5.
