Thomas Seymour Tall Post Bed, SB-8
Post Height: 86'', (218cm)

An elegant example of the Sheraton style. The original of the bed is attributed to the Seymours of Boston. The fluted drum above the square and the inverted leaf-carved cup being typical of their work. The foot posts are amply reeded with figured maple inlay in the square section. The original had the hallmark "torch and quiver" tester. This four poster is shown queen size in mahogany with an Arched Pediment tester frame. Head posts are pencil posts.
