This low post bed has unusually fine early turnings. In the "Furniture Treasury, " Wallace Nutting considered these "The best 17th century bedposts," and commented on the "remarkable beauty of the turnings." These bed shown above with and without a raised panel headboard. It is also appropriate and attractive with headboards HB-1 or HB-2. Shown as a pair of twins in painted maple, it can also be made in oak, ash, maple or cherry.
