This classic cannonball top bed has the massive posts characteristic of mid 19th century beds. The headboard has the cyma curve frequently seen with this style. The finish shown is lightly grained yellow brown over white. This bed was commissioned by Old Sturbridge Village as a replica of one in their collection for a hands on display. It has no bed bolts, being held together by the rope spring. Ours uses bed bolts for rigidity and to accommodate a box spring. Available in any wood and size.
