This pair of beds are an adaptation of a 17th century bed post shown in Nutting's "Furniture Treasury". They feature early style bead and groove rails and a simple raised panel headboard. Constructed of maple with mortise and tenon joinery they are hand painted Essex green over red.

The size is twin, made undersize so the mattress comes to the outside of the rail. Swedish slats are included so a box spring is not required.
