Sheraton Four Poster Bed

A nicely turned bed with the urn and vase motif characteristic of Sheraton style beds. This bed has the long lamb's tongue transition from the round to the square and the classic turned spade foot. The
egg shape finial is often seen in this style. This is a classic example
of a period four poster bed.
The posts and rails are of birch and the headboard poplar. The side rails were lengthened to accomodate a full size mattress. The tester frame is old but not original.
