Bird's Eye Four Poster Bed, B-3
A delicately turned antique Federal bed with a paneled headboard made of superbly figured bird's eye maple. The posts are made in two pieces and there is some evidence of damage at the joint (see below). The bed has great color with an old finish. The side rails have been extended with a bolted scarf joint visible on left rail near the head of the bed in the top photo.
